Page Number 5 (7) is Finito!

Yep another page has been finished!  We're now working on page 6 which is the 8th page finished.  I've decided I'm going to go all of the way across and then when I move down I'm going to do both pages.
As you can see I've already started the next page and will soon have another word finished.  I need to find a way to get those crease marks on each page.  I think sewing behind the creases should help but that's going to wait until the end.

I also dyed some more fabric and bought the floss for my Disney and pirate charts.
The teal piece is for pirate and the pink one is for Disney.  I'm still not sure if I like that much white in the bottom but it's actually light purple.  I may redye that bit. Probably dye it teal just so there's more teal in the piece.
Such pretty colors!  Now I just have to get them on bobbins and into my binder. Speaking of which I think I'm at the point where I have to get a new binder.

I'm pretty sure I've found a way to add the movies I want into the Disney piece.  I found some stained glass of the ones I like and someone made them into coloring book pages.  So I just have to have hubby overlay them and replace the old in the chart.  I've decided on adding princess and the frog, brave and frozen replacing brother bear, one of the snow whites and the other bear one.  They're all on the bottom next to each other.

But now it's time to go to work.  See you all next time!

  3. Oooh your fabrics are wonderful!! I think I would add teal to the one section as well, but blue bias, hah. That whole teal piece is just lovely.

  4. Your stitching is progressing nicely Heather! Those lines should lessen once the piece is washed and ironed. (I'd suggest trying washing and ironing before anything else). When it's finished I'd wash it, roll out the excess water between two towels, then iron it with a dry plain tea towel over the top while it's still damp. It might be worth considering stitching over the block of 10 so the lines/creases won't form ;) I'm loving the gorgeous fabric colours! Those new starts you have lined up must be providing great motivation to get your current wip completed :D

    1. That's what I'm hoping. I'm doing my other pieces by color but don't want to start this one now in case it looks weird.

  9. Oh I love the fabrics. So pretty! I sew my "lines" together while I'm stitching and I don't notice them near as much now. Good luck finding your fix.

  11. The dyed fabrics look gorgeous, it's almost a shame to cover them up!!
Why do those crease lines appear? I get them if I roll my fabric and the fabric gets flattened in storage but they come out when it's been stitched on.
