Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun, Please Shine Down on Me

Well it took some hard work but I have a bit to show you all :). First of all I'm really happy with how things turned out.  As it happens I didn't count over to the E as I thought I had plenty of room from the last page.  My E ended up at the very edge of the page border.

Kind of hard to see but I'm so glad I didn't have to frog.  I couldn't have just moved it because it would have thrown the entire piece off.  So lesson learned: don't just assume always count!

Moving on, any guesses what the title is about?  We have sun!
It's very difficult to see as its only like 5 stitches but it's the very last row under the E.  It's a beige color.  But with that we have another word done and another half a page.
Here's the piece so far.  This time I did count so I know I'll have room for the S.  I was hoping to get that stitched tonight but I only had around 4 hours of sleep last night so I'm cuddling up in bed with Harry Potter.  Unfortunately I'm on the 5th.  I hate Umbridge so this is my least favorite book.  Oh well I'll enjoy the end.

See you next time!

  6. I hate Umbridge too but I love how Fred and George deal with her - makes it completely worth it to me!

  7. Great progress! I have been curious as to whether you had the phrase incorporated into the chart or was adding it yourself... I would imagine it would be tricky to get the placement of letters worked out but it looks awesome :)

  8. Congrats on the amazing progress, Heather! I'm so glad it worked out for you. I'm so OCD I always triple count and it drives me crazy. My daughter's reading number five right now, too, and it was always my least favorite. Hopefully you'll get to the end soon!

  10. Umbridge does suck, did you read the latest little blip of her that Rowling put out (probably on Pottermore but can't recall exactly)? Like you want to read more about her. lol.

Yay, the sun!! Are you going all the way across on this piece before working on the bottom?
