More Colors!!

Hey everyone welcome back!  I'm happy to say I have now finished both corners.  I'm not sure how many colors I've done but let's find out!

Here's last time:

Then I added the dark blue that brought me to the bottom corner:

Sorry it's washed out I tried to take it in direct sun.  Then I added another dark blue that filled in the top corner and some mountains:

After that was some light blue starting again on the left:

Then there was another light blue:

This picture probably is the most true to the colors in real life.

After that there was yet another light blue:

Then came a sky blue color which is at the top although it doesn't look like it but filled in a lot of the sea:

Finally came a very interesting color.  The color is 159 and is supposed to be blue gray.  It looks blue gray on the skein and bobbin but comes out pinkish.  Very odd.  But here is is:

The next color will be lagoon blue and there's a lot of it.  

So counting up that's 7 colors and my progress bar is updated to show I'm 84% done.  Not bad for 10 days.  My dad was in town so I wasn't able to stitch a ton.  On the plus side it looks like my school stuff is working out so yay for that!  I leave on a cruise in 2 weeks but I don't think paradise will be done and I'm not taking it with me.  But I have the frame all ready to go I just hope it will fit right.  It's a floater frame so we'll see.

I will be taking Halloween Green and Swirling Peacock on the cruise with me.  I started some of the green on Halloween but forgot to take a picture.  Hopefully next time I can show it 😀

At the end of the month I'm going to a stitching retreat all weekend so I'm hoping I can get paradise done then.

I also purchased another HAED.  This time it was Museum Shelf by Aimee Stewart.  I got the max color but not the supersize.

No clue when I'll start but I've been drooling over this one for a while.

3 More Colors!

Hey guys I'm back!  I've finished 3 colors this time but it felt like the last took forever.  Last time I was here:

Then I added the bright blue:

Then bright green:

There wasn't much green but more than I thought.  Then I added another dark blue

I have another dark blue which will fill out that upper right corner and all of the space in the bottom under the dark blue then I'll be able to use some lighter colors starting under the light green on the left.  After that I should be able to start updating my progress bar.

I'm behind on blog reading again unfortunately.  I've been dealing with a lot of school issues lately which has taken a lot of my time.  I'm hoping to get them worked out tomorrow and get caught up on blogs soon!

Another Color Down!

Hi guys I'm back again with another big color finished!

Last time:

This time:

I'm about halfway through the next color but I think I'll save it until the color after to post.  I'm working with 3844 now which is a really bright electric blue.  It's basically the color above the stitched part in the last photo.  There's a lot of it but not a ton of the color after.  

I've forgotten to mention I'm going to update my progress bar after I finish every 10 stitch row starting from the top. If I finish one in the middle I won't count it until I finish the one above.  It's just easier to keep track that way :).

I don't have much to report except that I'm getting into reading again.  Im currently restarting the key trilogy by Nora Roberts.  I'm trying to only reread books so I don't get so caught up in a new story that I neglect my stitching :)

Happy GG I'm Back with Another Color!

Hi everyone it's the 15th which means it's time for another Gifted Gorgeousness hosted by the oh so lovely Jo of Serendipitous Stitching.  This is our chance to show off our projects that were gifted to us or that we are stitching as gifts.  Of course this means more Paradise which is being stitched for my cousin for her wedding.  

I forgot I didn't take a picture last night when I finished the color.  It was almost 1 when I finished (eek) so I was ready for bed.  But anyway I forgot to take the picture and started the next color when I remembered so ignore the 50 or so stitches on the top row that nut out.  I'm sure you can imagine where it's supposed to end ;)

I already finished the next color in that top section which took like 4 hours and filled in a lot of the top.  But there's a ton more of that color so you won't see an update for a bit :). Ok so if I keep going at this pace it'll be like a day or two lol.  I promise I'm not going to post after colors that only have a few stitches.  I'll still take a picture but will post multiple pictures.

And speaking of pictures I decided I'm not going to post any full piece pics until it's all done.  I stopped sending pics to my cousin a little while ago so it'll be partly a surprise.  But I figure 9 pages of progress pics is a good enough size :).  If any of you really want to see the full size I'll email you one :)

But anyway I'm conflicted stitching this.  I feel like I'm making a ton of progress and none all at the same time lol.  Maybe because I'm too eager to finish lol.

But on happy need I only have one more class to finish in order to start my student teaching/observing.  So I might be able to take a small break.  If it gets approved through both work and school I'll be doing my observations every Friday for ten weeks starting 9/9 and ending 11/2.  I have a few vacations in there which is why there are more than ten weeks there.  

And on the Pokemon front I'm up to 110 caught out of 151 (some of which haven't been released).

Late to the Party but Exciting Stash!

Hi everyone I'm back!  This is just a short update.  I've decided I'm going to make a new post everytime I finish a color.  Unless it's just a few stitches.  

So I know I'm late to Jo's summer shoehorn party but I'm putting in paradise.  After all summer is all about the beach right?!

Here's another color which felt like it took forever!  It's the lighter one so you can see there's a ton more.  The next color has a LOT so you may not see it again for a while.  You'll see a bit though for GG.  

What's my exciting stash?

It came!  My millennium frame came in the mail yesterday!  I've put Celtic wolf in there already and I love the tension.  A big thanks to Jo for calling them for me to jumpstart the process of sending it.  

So, it was ordered for my birthday on 4/14.  After 12 weeks had passed Jo called for me and they said it was done and they would send it out.  2 weeks later and nothing so Jo called again and he said he didn't know why it wasn't sent but it would go out later that day and the tracking would be updated.  The tracking never updated but it arrived less than a week later!  I'm not going to put paradise in it because I want the tension the same since I'm almost done and it's pretty well locked in to the current frame.  But everything else not in hand will be in there.

So I'm finally caught up on my blog reading.  I'll try to keep up now.  Here's a better shot of Mocha helping unwrap:

Sorry for the bad pics I got the 36" bars with the 14" stretchers so it's really big and difficult to photograph.

Mini Finish!

Hi guys I'm happy to say I've managed a bit of a finish.  Nothing major but the words on Paradise are completely finished!  I've managed to also reach the right side of the piece!

I'm really excited!  I've also decided I'm going to do all of the rest of the pages at once so don't expect any page finishes for a while!  But I think it will go faster.  Surprisingly these colors are actually pretty true to the original which is weird because it was night when I took these.

Alright hopefully I can stitch again soon because hubby's been wanting to see almost every movie that's come out so between that and school I've been stitch deprived :(

On the plus side my anniversary went well :) I got some cool gifts 

(Not the computer lol)

It was pretty funny lol.  I'm almost done with my actual class work too so just student teaching in January and some observations before then.  I just have to plug away at the last two classes.

I was Sort of Right! 2 Page Finish

Hi guys I'm back with another update!  I've finished 2 pages at almost the same time and have finished another section!

Last time:

I have 9 pages left to stitch which I'm going to do in 2 sections.  There are only 4 whole pages left and I'm going to do one more section just like I did this one and then the last section will be the same set but with the partial pages added too. Depending on how many letters are left on the last page I may just go ahead and finish them.  

I'm getting really excited to finish this and I'm getting kind of anxious because I'm so close.  

I also have some stash to show...I got my first Miras!

I went ahead and got these two because they shared beads but I think the model stitcher for Zenia (the red one) used a different colored bead because they look red in spots that have the blackish beads.  So I may have to make another order :D.  I actually got these a few weeks ago but I forgot to show them.  

In other news I finished my state tests that will allow me to be a teacher but won't get the results until late this month.  I don't feel very good about some of them though but I won't stress until they get here.

Unfortunately I won't be able to stitch much until I get caught up on my schooling.  I've been slacking off a bit but if I finish two classes I'll be back on track so I just have to take like a week off to catch up.

Whew I feel like I talked a lot! 

Is anybody still with me?

Well I'm off its hubby's and my 5th wedding anniversary tomorrow so we'll be celebrating.  No plans yet but we'll see what happens.
