Happy Halloween Blog Hop!

It is 12:35 am right now so I can officially say Happy Halloween!  This year I've decided to take part in the Halloween Blog Hop hosted by Jo at Serendipitous Stitching.  For those of you who don't know each blog in the hop is given a letter and if you go to all of the blogs it spells out a phrase you can tell to Jo.  My letter is somewhat hidden in this post but easy to find :).  If you can't figure it out let me know.  As I'm posting I have a good Halloween Playlist on Youtube and a beer in my hand so life is good :).  Halloween Playlist

I have some big Halloween plans.  We're going out with one of my friends from work to a Halloween party.  We're almost certain we're going as Gomez and Morticia Addams.  We also have Jetsons costumes and he has an Alvin from Alvin and the chipmunks and I have the Evil Queen from Once Upon a Time.  We're still deciding.  I kind of am leaning toward Evil Queen since it means no wig but we'll see I like couples costumes as well.

But now to the important stuff: the stitching!  I was hoping to get at least the black of Halloween Red finished but I'm just short of my goal.  A lot more work than I was planning and I was visited by the Frog Prince a few times which slowed my progress.  I had to rip one part twice.  But I got a lot done.
I was focusing on this the whole week.  I have the little bit of red in it because I wanted to see what the contrast looked like.  It looks really good next to the blue and it's not done yet.
I also got some new stash.  Shelley at Tilton Crafts is having a sale where if you buy a chart you'll get a second exclusive chart free.  I don't know what the free chart is yet as you have until noon tomorrow to buy it but the one I bought is Santa's Workshop.
It will be a while until I start it because I want to finish one project first but it's got such pretty colors.  It reminds me a bit of stained glass.

Happy hopping everyone!  Your next blog will be Ishkabibble

Until next time,
Stay stitchy San Diego :)

Column Finish!

Hi everyone sorry for the long wait between posts but I really wanted to finish the column before I posted.  I'm happy with my progress so far but since I'm taking part in the Halloween blog hop hosted at Serendipitous Stitching I need to start on Halloween Red so that's going to take precedence.  I also got in a few stitches on Peacock and have to say I love the Kreinik.  It's fun and beautiful to stitch with.

Here's my progress on Magical World:
And the piece so far:

And the piece as a whole:
I've also got my decorations up for Halloween including a new lamp that I bought and repainted to match my decor.  It's really cool because I can pull the top off and fill it with whatever I want.

Pay no attention to the messy table :).  Well that's all for this update.  My stitching may be halted coming up because I really want to finish building my lounge chair so that I can stitch in it.  But I want to do Halloween Red first.

I also want to wish my husband a very happy 32nd birthday.  I love you!

Until next time,
Happy stitching!

Just a Note...

Hi everyone I just had a little note to post.  I've had someone inform me that I had my settings on so only Google+ users could comment on my blog.  I changed it so now everyone can but the switch deleted all of the comments I had.  I apologize for that and know that I read and appreciate all of the comments I receive.  Have a great stitching week I'll be back with updates in a few days!

Column 1 Half Done and Peacock Progress

I got a lot done this week. I'm a little over halfway done with the first column of Magical World which means I'll be starting the book soon. I got to the bottom of page 9 and page 17 is next.
This is before:

And this is after:

The dark part is the end of the knife.  I'm pretty proud of myself I got quite a bit done.  It's still a lot of confetti.  I also got some stitches into Peacock which is more green than I remembered but it'll be pretty.

And it was almost 50/50 but Halloween Red was the winner so that will get stitched up soon.  It's not really calling me at the moment though so I'll probably get more Peacock in now.  Thanks everyone for voting!  See you next week!  Happy stitching!

Page 1 Column 1 Finish

I've finished the end of the first column of the first page.  It doesn't seem like a lot but there's a lot of confetti in every set of 100.  I'm getting the urge to pick up Peacock again so we'll see how that goes.
This is the first page progress so far.  I'm moving next to page 9 which is the next set of this column.  My family has left town so other than unpacking my house I should be making some good progress.  This 400 stitches I did in two nights.  I have to go job hunting too though as I just can't pay the bills with my current job so that'll take up some time.    If only I could make money cross stitching ;).  I also need to figure out which Halloween color to start next so I'll have a poll up to help me decide.  Which color should I start next?
