SFS August Report and a Page Finish!

Hello again!  I've had another good month with SFS and haven't spent anything.  That will probably change next month as I'm starting to run short on some colors of floss.

But my big excitement for this post is that I finished my next page.  Technically it's two pages since I didn't count them before but I'm so excited it seems like it took forever!  I love how this page turned out though.

It's still going to be a while before that third line comes in but hey it means more ocean to enjoy :). 

Non stitchy wise we're still in hotels.  We're waiting to hear back from a couple of places hubby interviewed at.  But tomorrow starts my last week at work and he's put in his 2 week notice so we are planning on starting our cross-country trek on the 30th.  We're going from here and staying the night in New Orleans which is one of my favorite cities.  Then we're going to San Antonio and spending a day at Seaworld since we get in free. We'll stay the night there and our next stop will be Phoenix.  He went to college there so we will see some friends.  And then we'll arrive in SoCal which is where we're living.  I know a couple of weeks ago Sandy mentioned a stitching group that meets and if love more info about it but you're a no reply blogger.  Can you email me your email address. hreneeby@gmail.com. Gifted Gorgeousness August

I have an up to date picture this time :). For those of you who are curious, gifted gorgeousness is a SAL hosted by Jo at serendipitous stitching.  We stitch an item either gifted to us or intended as a gift.  Paradise is intended as s gift for my cousins wedding in October.  It won't be done on time considering I'm not even halfway done but I'm pretty sure this half has most of the confetti.  Especially the bottom row of pages.

Whew!

What is it about being in a hotel that makes me so tired?  I don't know but I seem to be too sleepy to stitch.  The good part is we're done with the first half of our move.  Well the actual moving part anyway.  We're staying in hotels for the next few weeks while we figure out our move cross country to California.  We had most of our stuff packed up and is waiting in storage and the rest we were planning on taking in the car.  The bad news is we overpacked and now we have to decide what to do with the rest of our stuff.  Yikes!  All my cross stitching is in the car with us and fits in two small boxes not counting 9 fabric tubes.  I think I need more stash ;).  We donated a lot of clothes and I'm thinking about getting some space bags for our pillows and bulky items so everything hopefully fits in the car.  We're probably going to have to ship though.  

The packing was a mess.  My hubby and I are both procrastinators but he's worse than me.  The night before the movers came we only got 3 hours of sleep and about the same amount the next night.  We were packing stuff right up until we turned out keys in.  Luckily I have good friends who helped.  This is the first year we hired movers and I'm never going back.  Next time I'm paying for them to pack it too lol.

I haven't had much stitching time unfortunately.  I was expecting to have a lot of it in the hotel but we're still dealing with packing and hubby wants to go to all the parks before we leave which he just told me about.  *sigh* boys ;).  However, looking at my last picture I do have noticeable progress.  I've finished a page officially now and am about a third of the way into the next :)

I'm actually a bit further than this but it's too dark for a picture tonight.  I'd say I'm down another 5 rows or so and have some stray stitches like 5 rows from the bottom.  Hopefully next time you'll see another page finish!
